More crushing yet rocking doom/death from Ilsa. Once again, the band has found the right balance between slow, heavy, crushing and pounding—you get the idea—music and some faster, kind of rocking songs that nevertheless carry the same feeling of heaviness and despair. The music is kind of draining, in a good way, as it really stirs up some dark emotions and leaves a wasteland of dark thoughts in its wake. They do the doom/death genre well and spice it up a little bit, which may make this more attractive to those who can't quite stomach pure doom/death.
