Swedish Death Metal horde of all things vile and loathed Repuked have been stumbling in the dank tunnels of the Swedish underground since 2007. In that time, they've generated a good bit of output, with demos, splits, a compilation, and three full-lengths, of which Dawn of Reintoxication is the latest. The music herein bows low before the altars of Autopsy, particularly their album Mental Funeral, all while throwing in the expected elements of the Swedish sound for good measure. When they aren't vivisecting you Autopsy style on "Livers Bleed" and "Fuck Your Fucking Corpse", they're smashing your skull the way Entombed did on their first two albums with songs like "Shitfister", all while flinging an endless supply of crushing riffs at your broken, lifeless body. As far as repulsive old-school Death Metal goes, Dawn of Reintoxication does it as well as any other album these days, so if being torn to shreds and reanimated with gore and vodka is your idea of a good time, Rebuked will be your salvation.
