Do I even need to say this is Italian? Even if guitarist Cristiano Filippini's name wasn't preceding the name of the band, the logo and album title of their debut, The Force Within, should have you leaning in that direction. As such, this is a meticulously played symphonic power metal record that hits all the right notes. High, clear vocals, lush keys, and neoclassical guitars power all the expected song styles from double-kick heart-pumpers to emotional ballads. There's nothing here that is going to turn off the Rhapsody, Heavenly, Dragonland, etc., etc. fans. If you don't like this style, you know what to do, but if neoclassical power metal floats your boat, you can pick this one up without hesitation.
