Here is proof that something doesn't have to be innovative to be good. Dira Mortis play Death Metal, and they are Polish, and that right there is like 75% of what you need to know to guess what they sound like. Very much under the influence of the old Swedish school with some Bolt Thrower and Vader thrown in for good measure, this is heavy, crunchy, headbangable stuff that is so familiar you will swear you have heard some of the songs before, but you won't care because they are fully satisfying even if they are derivative as fuck. If you are a Death Metal fan, then this will do it for you, no question. |
