This came out a few years back, and is the fourth album from one-man metal machine Fabio "Grey Wolf" Paulinelli, who apparently did almost everything on this disc. This is a definite step up from the fun but rather unadorned sound of Glorious Death. The recording is better, with more fullness and texture, the riffs are better and even Fabio's gargly vocals have improved. If you are a fan of Manowar, Omen, or especially Ironsword, then this is a disc you should not miss. The songwriting is more ambitious this time around, and overall this is just all-around better while still being the bare-knuckled, iron-age Heavy Metal this band has always been about. Hard, heavy, aggressive, and also this time a bit epic, this is a cool album all around. |
