Hatesphere have been around a while and released a good number of albums, but this is my first exposure to them. This Danish band plays death/thrash that's on the tame side of things. It has what you expect from the genre—speed, some amount of catchiness that gets the foot tapping and the head at least bobbing, and some just enough of a hard edge to satisfy your metal cravings. With that said, I find the album to be kind of uneventful. It's not bad, but it's just "there". It's alright when it's on, there's nothing on here that makes you want to turn it off or skip a song, but there's nothing that stands out. It might sound like I don't like it, but I do. It's just nothing to get overly excited about. Basically, a decent metal album. |
