It is hard to imagine anyone into crunchy, euro power metal not enjoying Orden Ogan. Final Days is the seventh album from this German institution and another solid entry in their catalog. The band colors inside the lines, but I can't argue with the results. Tracks like "Dawn of the A.I." and "Inferno" are so damn catchy it is nigh on impossible not to be singing along with the choruses by the second time they come around. The lyrics are cool as well, dealing with the proliferation of technology and the downfall of humankind. It is a story that is dark, and hits close to home in these crazy times. The playing and the production are top-notch with every note in place and every instrument getting their chance to shine. Final Days is as safe a purchase as the power metal fan is going to find.
