The past couple of releases from Perversor slipped through the cracks here and it was time to hear what they've been up to. Well, they haven't become choir boys since I reviewed Demon Metal more than 11 years ago. The band still plays very fast, raw black/death/thrash metal without any hint of subtlety—I guess the closest thing in terms of genre would be war metal, though that's not quite what these guys are doing (war metal is a little more messed up than this... ;)) Psicomoro sounds less polished than Demon Metal was, with a sound that's just a tad too muddy to do the music justice. Nevertheless, the Chilean maniacs are once again a short but demented and destructive wall of brutal metal that should please fans of the genre. |
