Infernal Power is a short, pummeling slab of black/thrash from Germany's Lucifuge. Early Venom is a clear influence, from the sandpapery vocals amplified by echo to the buzz saw riffing that both assault the ears. The production is better than Neat Records ever gave Cronos, Mantas and Abaddon, but that doesn't mean Infernal Power is any less savage, because it isn't. When you follow an existing template this closely, you need to go above and beyond to separate your music and I feel like Lucifuge hasn't quite cleared that bar and there aren't any songs I can say have stuck with me, but I never felt bored listening to Infernal Power. Solid black/thrash in the style of the pioneers.
