Ereb Altor almost never sound the same on two different recordings, but they are always at least listenable, and sometimes much better than that. I really like this EP, as it leans much more on the melodic side of the band, which I always like better than when they play harsh. The guitar work and atmosphere here are first-rate, and Daniel Bryntse's clean singing is always better than when they decide to use harsh vocals, though the title track on this is mostly harsh, and breaks the rather haunted mood of the other songs. Still, this is a solid EP for fans of the band. |
