This Texas bunch sure knows how to play some fast and brutal death metal without falling into the trap of being unintelligible. Eradication of the Subservient is fast, brutal and razor-sharp death metal that pounds your eardrums from beginning to end. The vocals are a mix of growls and a style a little more screechy, the latter of which I'm personally not crazy about, but it adds a little variety and fits well in here. This is quite busy stuff and there really isn't much room for the listener to breathe, largely a wall-to-wall onslaught of speed and destruction. Things may happen fast, but there's a lot to take in on this EP as you peel the layers from one listen to the other. If you like your death metal brutal but technical enough and not too straightforward, Eradication of the Subservient is most certainly worth checking out. |
