Another nice slab of melodic black metal from Wormlight, Nightmother continues in a style that's melancholic yet fast and sometimes even brutal enough to get the head banging and the evil flowing freely. This is not dark or raw in any way, so if that's what you're looking for in your black metal, this is not the album for you. Some of the songs even have a subtle folkish vibe that gives some parts a bit of an upbeat, borderline fun vibe. Nothing here that I haven't heard before, but it's well done.
