Now this is more like it. I found this band's last album, Voice of Opprobium, a bit too slick and polished to dig down into the arcane atmosphere that made Order of Vengeance so cool, but this one gets back to what this band is good at. Verses in Regicide is another slab of moody, melodic Black Metal with a definite influence from mid-period Graveland works like Creed of Iron. Again, it's not original, but that wasn't the intent, and if you like this kind of Pagan Black Metal, then this will hit the spot dead on. |
