Greece's Sense of Fear presents here a heavy metal album with a bit of a thrash vibe that could be loosely liked to that of Iced Earth and Nevermore. It's very melodic but also dark, sometimes melancholic and the guitars often crank up the heaviness for an effect very similar to that of the aforementioned bands. A few of the songs don't leave much of a lasting impression, without being bad per se, but some others such as "Sense of Fear" tend to stick after just one listen. The stuff here is quite diverse and elaborate, but after several listens I can't help but find that a lot of the songs drag on for a little too long and would benefit from shaving off a few minutes here and there. As it stands, the album is almost an hour long but would probably benefit from being in the 40-45 minutes range. Worth checking out if you're into dark heavy metal with a thrashy edge.
