A lot of bands aim for that old-school '80s/'90s vibe, but this band hits it dead-on. Savage Deity are a Thai band, and this album sounds like it could have been released 30 years ago. The riffs and even the production are pure Florida Death Metal from the days of Morbid Angel, Deicide, and, of course, Death. Yeah, it sounds familiar as hell, but I have to say there is just something fresh about this, and it gets this vibe that is just pure death from the old days, and it reminds you of how it used to feel when everything was new and exciting and not everything had been done.
