Been five years since this band struck gold with Primeval Pantheons, and I am glad to get their newest work. This band has been going along, kind of under the radar for a long time, producing five albums that are all of solid or better quality. Bornholm have remembered the lesson they learned on their previous album, which is that slowing down here and there can give the music more weight and drama. Apotheosis is less furious than previous albums, and maybe the production is a little too smooth for my tastes, but the songwriting is still strong, with those blurring, atonal riffs that make this band great. Worthy.
