Finally, a new full-length from these guys. Lots of tongue-in-check and other humorous content, at least based on the song names, delivered with Fumigation’s brand of brutal yet often melodic death metal—this stuff goes from fast and/or crushingly heavy to innocently melodic before you realize it. I really like the mix of heaviness and more lightweight passages throughout, and most of these songs have so many layers to peel that the album is bound to keep you busy for a while as you dissect it. On the surface it might sound like your typical death metal album, but once you start digging in there’s quite a lot to take in. Recommended. |
