This Mexican band was formed quite recently and this first EP is like a trip back in time with Evil Shade playing it old school. Vandals is packed with speed, speed, speed and has a raw charm to it that will likely freak out those obsessed with clean production, but really if you are into old-school heavy/speed metal with clean but sometimes a little hard to decipher vocals, vibrant melodies piercing through the sheer speed and, frankly, a little messy, then this EP will do the trick. Nothing new here at all, just a bunch of guys playing it old school and having fun doing it. Apparently, they were originally working on a full-length, so hopefully there are more goodies coming soon from Evil Shade.
