With 21 tracks clocking in at just over 39 minutes, you know there’s some grindcore in here. This is a reissue of Blood’s 2003 album, a pretty decent mix of death metal and grindcore. These guys play it pedal to the metal, it’s chaotic and kind of sloppy—in a good way most of the time—and overall it’s kind of fun. Just full-on in-your-face death/grind that holds no surprise but certainly can hold its end of the bargain against similar bands. If you’re not looking for anything technical or fancy, just something fun that kicks ass and messes up the room and doesn’t make you think, Dysangelium will do the trick.
