I reviewed this band’s debut back in 2011, and now here we have their fifth full-length, and I am glad to see that they have not changed even the slightest bit. This band still trades on crushing, riffy Death Metal that relies much more on punishing heaviness than speed. There is a definite Entombed influence here, also other old-school bands like Dismember and Carnage, but there is a melodic edge and some more creative songwriting that reminds me of Avenger or even The Grotesquery. Overall, this is satisfyingly meaty, heavy, blistering stuff that should please any fan of Scandinavian Death Metal. |
