After a long sleep in the ancient depths of Seattle, Oxygen Destroyer rose from the tides once more to devastate mankind with their second album. Musically, there isn't much more to say about them that I didn't already cover on their debut, but much like the beasts they take inspiration from, this is a band that has no need for evolution. They have killer riffs, nasty vocals, blazing speed, and enough ferocity to level a city block, and that's all they really need. They probably won't ever win any awards for originality, but if they keep making face melters like "Sons of the Necrobeast" and "The Plague Spreading Horror from 20,000 Fathoms", you won't see me complaining, and you won't either. Recommended. |
