Fourth album of extremely orthodox Black Metal from this German band, who at least stand out for doing their second-wave style well. This has that characteristic German crunch to the guitar sound, but also some more ambitious songwriting and a decent amount of melody in the tremolo assault. I also like that the vocals here are more low-pitched and intelligible than the expected shrieking. This is not anything Black Metal bands have not done a million times before, but it's done a cut better than the usual.
