Some no-nonsense, straightforward and in-your-face brutal death metal here. The band's name sure represents what you'll find inside. Deep growling vocals—thankfully not pig-squealish or anything of the sort—meet fast and heavy death metal with an abrasive guitar sound that clean up all that earwax and then some. Like a lot of albums of the genre, the songs are pretty fast but the band does slow down on occasion, leaving some breathing room for the listener. Nothing special here that you haven't heard before if you listen to enough death metal, but Determined to Rot gets the job done and you won't wait for an invitation to give it a few more spins.
