This band was originally founded by members of Centinex, and it sounds like it. This is Swedish Death Metal that is avowedly aiming for the classic sound of Entombed, Dismember, and Carnage. That said, they are hitting what they aim at, and this is sharp, pummeling Death Metal with that distinctive guitar sound and solid riffing. There is a slightly more advanced sense of melody and hook at work here, and the leads and riffs sometimes jump out and startle with clean-limbed attacks of almost Melodeath axe work. This is defiantly derivative, but it's well done. |
