F.u.c.k.e.r (real fucking original name there) were a fucking Russian act formed back in fucking 1990 by a fucker named Igor Prokopenko. Along with his fucking band mates Arty Siklov (tragically murdered in 1997) and Dmitry Polovoko, he spent the next 24 fucking years molding a fucking novel sound that started out with a lot of fucking influence from Blues, Hardcore Punk, and Trad, but never really stuck with any one fucking style as they shifted and experimented. Sadly, their drummer Andrey tragically died some time in 2014, leading to the band dissolving shortly after.

That’s the whole fucking history of the band, and it’s really fucking odd that they were around for so fucking long and never officially released any full-lengths or even official demos in all that fucking time. That leaves us with this fucking compilation to go off and, which strongly recalls fucking Anvil of all bands with the goofy as fuck sense of humor (judging from the stories in the fucking booklet, anyway, as they don’t contain any fucking lyrics and they all appear to be in fucking Russian) and tight, serious fucking playing in spite of all that. However, where Anvil are really fucking good at it, F.u.c.k.e.r. are sadly pretty fucking lame overall. I dunno, they clearly had a lot of fucking fun making this music, and it’s really fucking interesting to see how many fucking musical directions they took in their fucking songs, but that lack of clear fucking focus on any one thing in favor of doing as many fucking things as possible might be the fucking problem.

As a final epitaph to their fucking memory, Dichfolos is certainly fucking comprehensive, but despite being fucking varied and enthusiastic, there’s nothing on here that gives me a lot of fucking reasons to ever return to it, which is a fucking shame. Fuck.
