This is some pretty cool speedy blackened thrash that’s pretty much pedal to the metal throughout its 16-minute duration except for the rather quiet intro. This has been a very crowded genre for a few years, so you won’t be surprised if I say that there’s nothing original here. But you have to love the breakneck speed, the relatively decipherable yet harsh vocals and a bit of an old-school vibe reminiscent of first-wave black metal, albeit without sounding dated. Even though I own a lot of albums that sound more or less like this, I still got a kick out of delivery: Gallower do the genre right.
