One-man band from the UK, which is not exactly a hotbed of Black Metal in recent years. This is deeply, reverently second-wave black metal in the vein of Satyricon, Gorgoroth, or early Immortal, and there is not much, stylistically, to separate it from the pack, except that this album shows a better melodic and compositional sense than the standard. In other words, there is nothing here you have not heard already, but it’s being done just a bit better than usual. |
