This is a perfectly competent album of hard rock-ish commercial heavy metal, Invaders playing on the side of the more "radio-friendly" metal that was common for a while back in the ‘80s. We’re not talking glam metal here, just melodic, catchy, "inoffensive" heavy metal with vocals that beg for you to sing along, stuff that could please the less demanding metalheads and rockers/hard rockers alike. Some passages even have a bit of a modernized ‘70s rock vibe, which does hint at some even more old-school roots for this band. It’s good music, but anyone who has been around long enough has heard this before as there’s nothing original. I’d say it’s something safe to have when you have visitors and don’t want to scare them off. |
