Transgressive are an old-school Thrash project from ex-Judicator founder Alicia Cordisco that mainly exists as a means to raise money for The National Network of Abortion, a cause which is more important than ever considering the state of reproductive rights in the US (you are free to disagree with that, of course, just like you are free to take my advice and inspect your nearest outlet with a metal fork if you do). Thankfully, even outside of the charity, Fetus Factory is a quality release that remembers the key to making Thrash is chugging riffs and snarling aggression. The title cut is solid enough with cool riffs and a good chorus, but "Abort the Courts" is the star here, with some killer melodic leads and a standout vocal performance from Alicia, who has a nasty old-school snarl that fits the material perfectly. I’d rate this higher, but it’s a bit short for that, and with a full-length on the way, I’m sure their best is yet to come. For now, if you want to briefly rock out to some furious Thrash while supporting a good cause, Transgression is the band for you.
