This is the third album from this Spanish band, and despite the solid production and some nicely atmospheric touches, the songwriting here is extremely stiff and monotonous. They are obviously going for a bit of a Doom vibe in places, but they don't seem to understand that playing slow means your riffs have to be better, not just slower. When things speed up, they are more interesting, but also a whole lot more generic, so you have an album with two modes: slow and boring, or fast and derivative.
