I quite liked Introtyl's debut album, Creation of Insanity, but Adfectus practically wipes the floor with it—OK, I'm exaggerating a bit. This new album is brutal and fast as fuck and, though I'd rather avoid mentioning it's an all-female band, this puts a lot of all-male death metal bands to shame. Guys, come here and learn a thing or two from these ladies. This album sounds cleaner, not quite as a raw as its predecessor, but the incisive, razor-sharp guitars, fast pounding drums and an even better vocal performance this time around ensure that this cleanliness is more of an asset than a liability. There isn't much respite for the listener on this one, it's pretty much pedal to the metal from beginning to end. Once again they kept things short, this one being about five minutes longer than its predecessor, and just like that one that's perfectly fine as it's better to keep it short and brutal than try to deliver to much and risk slipping. As a bonus, I saw them live a few weeks ago and their live performance is even better than when I saw them in 2018. I've had this album for a while now and, as you know, when flooded with promos you don't have much time to revisit your own albums as much as you'd like, but this one has been on regular rotation. Second bonus, quite a few songs here are pretty catchy, not something you can always say about brutal death metal.
