This pretty much sounds exactly like you think it will from the look of it. This is atmospheric Black Metal in the vein of both the older, Summoning school of things along with a lot of flavoring from the Cascadian sound. It presents a melodic, moody soundscape meant to evoke deep mystic forests and gloomy hillsides, and it works. Stuff like this largely succeeds or fails on its ability to create mood, and this does. It's not doing anything bands like Dwarrowdelf or Sojourner have not done before, but it does it well. |
