Odd for a band that's put out four albums to bother with a self-titled EP, but here we have this offering from Slovenian band Vigilance. This is five tracks of stripped-down Heavy Metal with similarities to the early works of bands like Running Wild or even Venom, as this is generally pretty hard-edged and direct stuff, with galloping riffs and the rough-but-tuneful vocals of guitarist Gilian Adam. There are some more melodic, rocking riffs on here, but the whole thing has a lot of energy and hooks, and so you would sing along if you understood Slovenian. I will have to hunt down some more stuff from this band, as this is pretty kickass.
