This band put out an album in 2002 that has the distinction of getting a 0% review on Metal-Archives, so twenty years later I was not exactly excited to hear the follow-up, but this is actually pretty good. Very much of the echoey school of Death Metal along with Incantation and Asphyx, this actually manages a good bit of Entombed-styled groove, and while the production is murky, it's the kind of murky that turns the songs into bubbling cauldrons of hatred, so even though it's not clear and sharp, it sounds obscure on purpose, and this gives it a nicely occult vibe. If you like '90s Death Metal then you want this one. It's not original, but it kicks ass. |
