Not a lot of info available on this band except that it is another one-man project of Suriname-born musician Mories, who has about 24 one-man projects going, it looks like. This is punishing Death Metal with a doomy edge and a murky, malevolent production job. The guitars sound huge, the mix has a lot of echo and reverb, and the vocals are a subterranean grunt that sounds like it's coming from inside a cave. I do love this kind of primitive sound, though I do wish the drums were a bit more audible and that the songs had more going on in them. This definitely creates a dark and evil mood, and it sounds underground as fuck, but that only takes you so far. |
