I don’t know what is up with Grief of Emerald, who are supposedly still active, but have not put out anything in over a decade, but three quarters of the current lineup got together with a former Grief of Emerald drummer and one other guitar player and have formed Death Reich, who have been putting out some singles and EPs for the past few years, and now this, their debut. This is straight-up Death Metal all the way, not sounding too removed from God Dethroned with the pummeling attack and feral aggression. This is much more direct and percussive than the "classic" Swedish sound, and it’s pretty short, but Death Reich keep the energy level up and rip out a solid disc. |
