This came out last year, but it's getting a vinyl edition from Adirondack Black Mass, which is why I have it now. Third album for Vaultwraith, a Black Metal band who have a different approach from the usual, sometimes getting classed as Heavy/Black, but really this isn't much different from old-school Black Metal, just slower. They have a more trad riff style, but their riffs are not really as good as they want them to be. There are some good bits, but this band just never gets off their ass and rips, and mostly these songs just kind of plod repetitively. The vocals are a dry rasp that doesn't really do anything for the music, it's just there. I like the idea of this band, but their execution is lacking. They always play too slow, and their compositions are really flat and just repeat. If you skip from song to song, it's hard to tell they are even different songs. I don't want to make it sound like this sucks, as it has some underground charm, but it could be way better.
