It's got to be tough being a Norwegian Black Metal band, as you have a long way to go to escape the shadow of the absolutely massive bands that have already beaten the path before you. Ekrom do a good job of carrying on that tradition, even if they don't add anything to it. The production is good, with a lot of space and a pretty decent guitar sound. The riffs are definitely a cut above, even if the overall songwriting doesn't really do anything that exciting. This is solidly enjoyable for Black Metal fans, but it's not doing anything really awesome.
