Serpent Corpse will soon release their debut album and I figured I'd check out their demo (good luck getting a physical copy; the tape is limited to 54 copies.) These Montrealers don't fuck around here, delivering fast, savage, punk-infused blasting death metal that takes no prisoners. There's some of the Swedish and Florida old-school death scene creeping out here and there and I even hear hints of Hellhammer and a tiny hint of crunchy black metal, and Serpent Corpse somehow managed to make that heavy, pounding, eclectic hellfest sound somewhat catchy. Cheap on Bandcamp, so check it out. |
