I wasn't too fond of this album when I bought it back in 2017, but after finding out that Mythra just released a new album, I decided to give it another go. It's better than I remembered. The foundation of the band's music is still the same as it was on their much older stuff, so they've mostly stuck to their guns and modernized it somewhat. It's not nearly as raw and DIY-sounding as what can be found on The Death & Destiny LP, but the band's music is still very melodic and catchy, and pretty damn rocking when the song calls for it. Sometimes the songs take an unexpected twist, not always in a good way (i.e., "what the hell?"), but it does keep things interesting. I still prefer their older stuff, but I like how they've largely kept their style, and I'm looking forward to hearing the new album, Temples of Madness.
