Atonement have a kind of odd name for the kind of music they play. I would have expected a Doom band, but this is high-octane Black/Thrash with flailing riffs and glass-gargling vocals. Definitely in the vein of classic German stuff like Destruction or Kreator, this is just good old bullet belts and black leather pummeling, with a lot of energy and aggression, and all about the riffs. This is nothing that really stands out from other modern bands of this type—like Athor, Sauron, or Hellish Crossfire—but it does what it does really well, and will keep your neck in some serious pain.
