Very dark and disturbing atmospheric black metal (Sargon got it right with calling it "deeply unfriendly" in his review of 2023's Martyrs) that's really chilling with cavernous, tortured vocals that sound lost in the music that could very well serve as the soundtrack to a descent to the depths of hell. If you're looking for something to headbang to, this is certainly not it. It's slow, dark, heavy, nightmarish melodies the whole time, in a way it reminds me of some atmospheric keyboard-only Burzum works if it had guitars, drums and vocals; it has that very melancholic yet chilling vibe that makes you look over your shoulder. Definitely makes me want to check out their other albums. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
