Really good debut from this Swedish band. Century don't have a great name, and the cover art and album title are super bland, but the music on here is pure NWOBHM quality from riff one. I hear classic era bands like Warlord and Stormwitch, as well as a whole lot of Cloven Hoof and even some Riot. Tasty riffs, air-guitar leads, and vocals that are solid if not spectacular. In general, the instrumental melodies are better than the vocal lines, and as such the songs are not as memorable as they could be. While you are listening to this, however, that won't bother you very much, as this is completely enjoyable music played with verve and energy and just the right dose of nostalgia-inducing recording quality to transport you back to 1984.
