This album comes off sounding more modern than its predecessor, Edder & Bile, while keeping some old-school death metal roots, though you have to dig a little to hear them. Various sound effects are used, and I find that more annoying than anything, but without them the more modern songs on here would sound naked. There's a groovy element found in some songs, while some others definitely reveal influences from more modern bands, and I've always found those kind of superficial. Here it's made tolerable by Cadaver's proficiency and ability to squeeze in some good old death metal behind that sound, but not always. Unlike Edder & Bile, I doubt I'll be coming back to this album later.
