Frigore is a new band (they aren't listed on Metal Archives as of this review) out of LA and Path of Logic is their debut. They play fast, vicious, and blackened death metal that despite some of the descriptors included with this promo ("...they seamlessly blend in the dissonant atmospheres and infernal tremolos of black metal, creating a cataclysmic sonic assault") doesn't sound much different from other bands playing this style, at least not to me. They also don't seem to take themselves too seriously, making music for the joy of it and even though it isn't all that original, is played quite well and has a visceral punch. I particularly like the blasting drums and almost chanted chorus on "One Thousand Glass Eyes." If you aren't looking for anything new but you still want the paint to peel, the dog to cover its ears, the neighbors to register complaints, and you can find it (I couldn't locate them on Bandcamp, Facebook, etc.), you can do worse than Path of Logic.
