I haven't paid attention to Marduk for a long time, with albums like Rom 5:12 and Wormwood being extremely boring I just found better things to do with my time. I was hoping an interval would give the band a chance to improve, but that has not really happened. While this is by no means a completely terrible album, it is still extremely one-dimensional and dull. On this album Marduk sound almost exactly like they did 15 years ago, going hard on the relentless speed and simplistic riffs, only the riffs are somehow not as good and the production a lot blander than on stuff like World Funeral or Nightwing. If you have heard a Marduk album in the past 20 years you have already heard this, but they used to do it a lot better. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
