Some savage and heavy speed/thrash here. Dungeon play it largely old school, but with roots in the more extreme bands and keeping things pretty raw and chaotic. Strangely, the vocals are sometimes annoying, but sometimes closer to early Venom and other raw 'n' dirty thrash bands from back in the day. The melodies are also reminiscent of way back in the day, mostly dark and delivered with a rawness that gives them more punch. Nothing particularly original can be found on Into the Ruins, but it's delivered with raw power and attitude and it's a nice one to put on when you have time for 22 minutes of devastation. |
