Third album for this feral German band who are avowedly of the school of bullet-belted, sword-waving Black/Thrash that's also home to bands like Desaster, Nocturnal, or even Onslaught—I hear a lot of influence from The Force on this album. This is an album of propulsive riffs and harsh, barking vocals that is much more blackened in attitude than in sound, as this is much more a Thrash album with Thrash riffs and genuine Thrash vocals. This is an album that sounds as if it could have been released in 1989, and I mean that in the best way possible. A real find for Shadow Kingdom, and I will have to track down this band's old albums, as this one is a whole lot of fun. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
