When a band has put out an album called Totemic Anal Turbofucker, you know they are not a typical kind of band. This is the fourth album by this chaotic Spanish outfit, who sometimes get billed as Black/Doom but are just feral, high-speed Black Metal to my ears. Maybe their early stuff is different, I don’t know. This is a short album packed with furious riffing and crazed vocal screeching that makes for an intense listen. There’s more melody and songwriting variety at work here than you would probably expect, but nothing really gets in the way of the pummeling, flailing assault. Aggressive, riff-tastic fun.
