More solid death metal from Avulsed, though this EP runs at just under 10 minutes, pretty much leaving the listener wanting for more. The first song, "Vile Evil Rotted Over," is actually quite catchy—the riffs just stick in your head and it's hard to stay still while it's on. It's a mix of fast, blasting death metal and slower, more melodic passages to give your neck a short reprieve. The vocals come off sounding very dark and alone add some creepy atmosphere to the song. "Intergalactic Gore Wars" is more of a machine-gun-riff type of song, though similar enough to "Vile..." that both songs gel. Heavier, not quite as catchy, and the vocals don't come off with the same atmospheric effect, but nevertheless quality death metal. Can't go wrong with this one, but I wish it were longer.
